Tour Overview

This scared trek basically travels the Chamkhar Chhu (River) basin. The trail takes you through the countryside of Thangbi valley pursuing the course of Chamkhar Chhu all the way up to its icy beginnings which rests under the mighty Gangkar Puensum – the highest peak in Bhutan and also the highest unclimbed peak in the world.

Wide alpine pastures stretch as far as your eyes could and yaks dot the picture-postcard view painted on a natural canvas and displayed right in front of you. The trek begins and ends in the beautiful valley of Bumthang which is also dubbed the Switzerland of Bhutan.
